Salty Revolution - Special offers!

Intro

Special offers on some of our Top Sellers!

Many of you will already have many of these corals, because all of these corals are frequently in our Top Ten most popular corals each week. It’s easy to see why, because all of these corals have something great about them, whether that’s a fantastic splash of colour, an unusual shape, a great way of adding movement to a tank, or simply just a fantastic price for what you get.

But, while most of you will probably already have most of these, there might be a few that you have overlooked. So I thought I’d hand pick out the corals that are regularly in our Top Ten and show you what they all are, so you can see if there is something very cool on here which you might not have, and maybe not even noticed amidst the variety of corals we have online.

There are some corals that are regularly in our Top Ten that I did leave out of this list. I left out most colours of Torch corals, most Zoas, and most Mushrooms, for the simple reason that while as a group they are very popular (we do get through a lot of Torches!) we tend to sell them in a wide variety of colours so it’s not often 1 particular colour stays in the Top Ten for long. So I just picked the corals where a specific colour was a hot seller.

Special offers on them!

To give you a chance to snap them up at a great price, with each of the corals below I’ve had a look at what was the best price they were on offer at over the last few months and then tried to match all of them to whatever that best price was too.

So let’s take a look at what everyone has been picking for their reefs.

Soft corals Section 1

Soft corals Section 1 - Clove polyps

Clove polyps are incredibly popular, especially CLAV900 Jedi Army.

Why they are so popular:

  • We now do most of our Clove polyps in 6 different sizes!

  • The polyps can be quite large, in time growing to 10p size and several inches tall.

  • Easy to keep, fast growing, and look just as good in a large reef as they do in a nano.

  • Bright splashes of electric colour at very little cost.

  • As well as having bright colour they also have a nice structural shape, and they wave in the current creating movement too.

  • A few colours to collect, we get up to about 8 types of clove polyps in total.

More size options than ever before!

Most of our Clove polyps are now available in 6 different size options ranging from a single polyp to XL sized colonies!

On most of our Clove polyps they are now available as:

  • 1 polyp frags

  • 3+ polyps frags

  • 5+ polyps frags

  • Mini colony (10+ polyps)

  • Colony (20+ polyps)

  • XL Colony (40+ polyps)

The hottest one of all!

LPS Section 1

LPS Section 1 - Gonis and Alveos

Goniopora and Alveopora frags are always incredibly popular. Here are the 7 that are the most popular.

Why they are so popular:

  • Fantastic colours

  • Adds movement as they wave in the current

  • Great price. A very good way of adding a variety of different types of LPS at very little cost.

The hottest one of all!

SR600 Pink Goni long 🌴El Presidente grade🌴.

The most popular one of all our Gonis, because it’s everything that makes Goni’s great:

  • Great colour

  • Great movement

  • Great price

The next two most popular Gonis.

SR603 Blue & red Goni ⭐La Generale grade⭐, and,

SR604 Red Goni ⭐La Generale grade⭐.

It’s easy to see why they are so popular.

SR604 Red Goni ⭐La Generale grade⭐.

Also consider . . .

Although the next 4 are not as eye-catching as the 3 above they are all very popular. I think people often start with maybe one or two of the ones above, and then when they see how great they look in their tank they then start collecting more colours of Goniopora and Alveopora. The movement as they wave in the current is great, and until you have some in your tank, you can’t really appreciate that from a photo.

LPS Section 2

LPS Section 2 - Ten of our best LPS frags

The most popular colours of some of our most popular LPS. It’s easy to see why all of these next 10 are all so popular.

Why they are so popular:

  • The most popular colours of the most popular LPS

  • We do a great price on these too, which also probably helps make them so popular.

10 great LPS frags.

LPS Section 3

LPS Section 3 - Sun corals

Such a great colour that it deserves a section of it’s own.

Why they are so popular:

  • Solid blocks of yellow and orange are not common in reef tanks, so Sun corals really stand out.

  • Feeding them is great fun, they are a very interactive coral. They are like having a little pet, and many people even name their Sun coral!

SR850 Sun coral - Orange ⭐La Generale grade⭐.

SR850 Sun coral - Orange ⭐La Generale grade⭐.

LPS Section 4

LPS Section 4 - Branching Hammers

An increasingly popular coral. If you like Torch corals, then sooner or later you’ll probably start keeping Branching Hammer corals too.

Why they are so popular:

  • A greater variety of colours than Torch Corals.

  • Much easier to keep than Torch.

  • Faster growing than Torch.

  • Generally less expensive than Torch too.

The hottest one of all!

BRANCH300 Toxic oil splatter branching hammer,

⭐La Generale grade⭐

The most popular colour of our branching hammers:

  • Vibrant colour

  • Very cool splatter pattern

  • Not expensive either

BRANCH300 Toxic oil splatter branching hammer ⭐La Generale grade⭐

Pro tip - How to make your one look bigger!

Golds, oranges, and pinks, can all be expensive colours in many LPS, so this is a good way to get those colours without breaking the bank.

Hot colours like these (red through to yellow) are “advancing colours” which means your eye will assume that anything in the red to yellow colour range is nearer to you than it actually is.

By placing hot colours in the foreground, and then “cool colours” (greens, blues, and greys) at the back of your tank it will make your tank look deeper front to back, than it really is.

This is something often used by landscape gardeners and interior designers to add depth and make gardens look longer, or rooms appear larger.

Orange, Pink, and Gold, Branching Hammer corals.

LPS Section 5

LPS Section 5 - Mini colonies of Walling Hammer corals

Despite being a type of coral we’ve only started doing fairly recently, these mini colonies of Walling Hammers are already very popular.

Why they are so popular:

  • A big chunk of vibrant colour.

  • Probably the easiest Euphyllia to keep.

  • Being a mini colony they really stand out, even in larger reef tanks.

The hottest one of all!

WALL200 Toxic green Walling Hammer coral - mini colony (50-75mm), ⭐La Generale grade⭐.

Of all our Walling Hammers this is the one to get first. Although we do Walling Hammers in a variety of colours, this colour outsells all the other colours put together!

  • Vivid Toxic green colour.

  • Even as a mini colony it’s a very eye catching coral and you don’t need big bucks to get one.
