A Spotters guide to Trolls!

Why trolls are different, and how to spot them.

I’ve had loads of queries about Trolls this week. Mainly from people asking what makes someone a Troll or not, and a few people slightly worried that they might become a Troll by accident. Don’t worry it would be extremely difficult to become a Troll by accident!

So I’m going to expand this section out tonight, and include a basic description of what is considered to be a Troll or not a Troll.

While most people have a rough idea of what a Troll is, it seems very few people know that actually there are several different types of Trolls, and not all Trolls are bad either. It is entirely possible to be a “Good Troll”.*

*Good Trolls are extremely rare. They are out there, in the same way that George Clooney is out there, but, that doesn’t mean you’re likely to find him in your living room!**

**Unless you are George Clooney of course, and then in which case finding a George Clooney is probably quite common!***

***In a time very, very, very, long ago

When I was about 4 whenever any grown ups mentioned primary school I used to get really quite cross about it. I only vaguely remember this myself, but, I’ve been reminded about it by many people because it was quite funny.

Apparently I used to get really quite cross that primary school was “rubbish” because they tried to “trick me” all the time. The reason for this was due to the little A, B, C books they use to teach you the alphabet. It seemed it annoyed me very much indeed that some items were more common than others.

For example while going around the supermarket there might be lots and lots of apples, but, very few zebras, and I was very much of the opinion that this was just an example of very poor stock control systems or something, and the one that I was most angry about was Xylophones, because I felt that as X for Xylophone was 1 of the 26 letters of the alphabet then that means Xylophones should by rights be one of the top 26 most commonly seen objects in everyday life.

So, yes, I was weird from the start it seems! To do this day I always feel very pleased every time I see a Xylophone!

It’s like “Finally!”.
